He Who Must Not Be Named

Are you ready for the time when our president is no longer front and center of every day? Why not start today?

Narcissists, including our commander-in-chief, gain power when they are talked about, whether it is good or bad. When we talk about how he makes us angry, that gives him power over us.

The most painful thing you can do to a narcissist is show them complete indifference. Don’t talk about him. Don’t say his name. Don’t put his name on protest signs. When you ignore a narcissist and don’t pay attention to the dramatic things they do to make you angry, it triggers their feelings of inferiority and loss.

They aim to elicit a reaction (any reaction, even anger) to restore their feeling of superiority and control. If they cannot dominate you, they often try to punish you. Ignoring a narcissist causes them to lose their sense of control, triggering a severe response. They will escalate to regain attention by trying to lure you back into their drama, manipulate us, or show us anger through late night posts on Truth Social. Sound like someone we know?

Instead, we remove his power by telling OUR stories. We share acts of kindness. We promote community. We convince the media to cover stories of HOPE about how people are making a difference.

We don’t say his name and we don’t talk about the party. We simply call it “the administration” and refer to it as little as possible.

The HOPE Revolution is about changing the narrative and showing that our HOPE is making a difference.
